Bonus: Q&A with Fede Sohns with Zephyr: An Anarchist Roleplaying Game Of Fleeting Identities!

Show Notes

To tide us over til our next one-shot, here's a bonus episode where our host and GM Fiona interviews game designer and illustrator Fede Sohns about their upcoming RPG, 'Zephyr: An Anarchist Fantasy Game of Fleeting Identities'.

The Zephyr are the feelings of a living sentient landmass called Ophio that wanders across endless salt flats. The alien feelings come in the colours of cyan, magenta, yellow and black but can merge into hatred, love, longing - all the emotions known to us. Moreover, the Zephyr has physical form, shaping itself into mountains, rivers, plains as well as living beings.

Players play as Windfolk, creatures who live on the periphery of Ophoi, who, one day, depart from their communities to fulfill sacred obligations. They use tokens of the 4 colours to represent the composition of their characters, keeping track of their constitution, spend them as energy to overcome challenges as well as fusing them to slowly build the sentimental bonds that will shape their identities

The Kickstarter campaign for Zephyr launches 1st February and you can go check it out here!

Show Notes

To tide us over til our next one-shot, here's a bonus episode where our host and GM Fiona interviews interviewing the co-founder and CEO of Free League Publishing, Tomas Härenstam, about the upcoming ‘Dragonbane’ RPG, a reimagining of the influential ‘Drakar och Demoner’.

Drakar och Demoner’ is Scandinavia's first and biggest tabletop RPG, originally launched in 1982. Now, 40 years later, Free League Publishing has announced a brand new and reimagined edition, with one foot firmly planted in the heritage of decades of Swedish gaming and the other in the modern and innovative game design for which Free League Publishing is known worldwide.

Dragonbane’ is described as a classic fantasy RPG full of magic, mystery, and adventure. This new edition is designed from the ground up to facilitate fast and furious play, with very little prep time and adventures that are a breeze to run. Though a toolbox allowing GMs to tell fantasy stories of all kinds, Dragonbane is a game with room for laughs at the table and even a pinch of silliness at times.

Though the Kickstarter campaign for ‘Dragonbane’ is over for the time being (and the release date for the core book is scheduled for August 2023), you can still access the quickstart PDF, including the complete introductory adventure Riddermound, and five pre-generated characters to play!

Bonus: Q&A with Jack Rosetree and Doug Levandowski

Show Notes

To tide us over til our next one-shot, here's a bonus episode where our host and GM Fiona interviews Jack Rosetree and Doug Levandowski, the game designers behind ‘In Name Only’, a minimalist role-playing system where your real, actual name determines all your skills, abilities, and powers.

This system is really straightforward and easy to run - highly recommended for introducing new players and GMs to the world of RPGs!
